- MA in Integrative Psychotherapy
- UKCP accredited
I am a UKCP accredited child psychotherapist. I have been working clinically for over 14 years. As a clinician at the Yale Outpatient Psychiatric Clinic for 7 years I have had considerable experience working with parents and youth with a diverse array of needs. I am passionate about helping children and young people overcome whatever challenges they might face. I believe all children and young people are deserving of mental health, security and happiness. I believe systemic change can also happen through supporting parents in understanding and managing their children’s needs. I am a member of the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood Advisory Group.

I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist with over 13 years of clinical experience across private practice, the NHS and specialist settings including an eating disorder clinic, Women’s Trust, and community counselling services. I have worked in clinical research at UCL and the Anna Freud Centre, and as a Switchback Mentor at the prison rehabilitation charity Switchback, providing intensive one-to-one support to young men both in prison and following release. Alongside this, I have a long-standing private practice grounded in a person-centred, relational approach. For me, the art of listening and of truly being heard can be transformative. I am a co-founder of The Samuel Therapy Practice, where I assess and match clients with our trusted team of therapists, and part of the Therapy Works podcast team with my mother, Julia Samuel, and sister, Emily Samuel.

Why We Started
We believe mental health is fundamental to a life worth living, and finding support should be straightforward and free from stigma. That belief first led us to create the Therapy Works podcast, making mental health conversations more accessible. We’ve now taken this one step further by creating our own trusted network of therapists — so you can feel confident about who you’re trusting with your wellbeing.
We created The Samuel Therapy Practice because we've seen firsthand how overwhelming it can be to find the right therapist. The endless searching, the uncertainty about credentials, the fear of opening up to the wrong person - it shouldn't be this hard to get help.
Our approach is simple: we've built a network of therapists we know personally and trust completely. When you come to us, Sophie or Emily will meet with you to do their best to understand what you're going through and what you need. Then we'll match you with a therapist whose expertise and approach we genuinely believe will help you.
No algorithms. No guesswork. Just thoughtful, human connection.
